Bali Yoga Retreats reserves the right to decline or cancel any enrollment at its sole discretion where an applicant is found to be physically or medically unfit, has provided false or misleading information, or does not meet the stated eligibility criteria. In such cases, the Enrollment Consultation Fee paid to Proponent Technologies Pvt. Ltd. shall be governed by their refund policy. Any Course Fee Balance paid directly to Bali Yoga Retreats shall be non-refundable, except where BYR is the sole initiating party in the cancellation due to an error or misrepresentation on BYR's part, in which case a refund of the 80% component shall be processed at BYR's discretion. Enrollment is formally confirmed only upon receipt of the Enrollment Consultation Fee by Proponent Technologies Pvt. Ltd. and the issuance of a written enrollment confirmation from Bali Yoga Retreats via Official Channels.

3. Code of Conduct

Bali Yoga Retreats is a Yoga Alliance registered school rooted in the authentic tradition of yoga — a dedicated space for learning, self-transformation, and yogic living. All students are expected to honour the school's values and atmosphere for the full duration of their program in Ubud, Bali.

3.1 Student Responsibilities

  • Attend all scheduled sessions, classes, practices, and training activities as per the published daily timetable
  • Show sincere respect for all teachers, staff, and fellow students at all times
  • Maintain punctuality and active participation throughout the program
  • Notify the administration in advance of any absence necessitated by a genuine emergency
  • Return to campus by 9:45 PM each evening; campus gates close at 10:00 PM
  • Observe appropriate silence during meditation sessions, meals, and designated quiet hours
  • Disclose all pre-existing medical conditions, injuries, allergies, and health limitations at registration and prior to arrival

3.2 Strictly Prohibited Conduct

  • Consumption of alcohol, tobacco, recreational drugs, non-vegetarian food, or any intoxicating substances on campus or during program hours
  • Any form of bullying, harassment, sexual misconduct, verbal abuse, or discriminatory behaviour directed at students, staff, or faculty
  • Wilful damage to school property or deliberate disruption of the learning environment
  • Practising yoga in swimwear, bikinis, or attire deemed inappropriate by school management
  • Use of mobile phones and electronic devices inside the yoga hall or during practice sessions
  • Photography, video, or audio recording during any class or session without prior written permission from BYR management

3.3 Disciplinary Procedures

Violation of the Code of Conduct may result in any one or more of the following, at the sole discretion of Bali Yoga Retreats management: a formal verbal warning; temporary suspension from classes and practices; or permanent dismissal from the program without refund, credit, or transfer of any fees paid. BYR's decision in all disciplinary matters is final and binding.

4. Attendance, Assessment & Certification

4.1 Attendance Policy

  • All students must attend every scheduled class, practice session, and training activity as per the published timetable
  • A minimum attendance record of 90% is mandatory to be eligible for certification at program conclusion
  • Unauthorised absences will negatively affect certification eligibility regardless of other academic performance

4.2 Assessments

  • All programs conclude with practical, written, and/or theory-based assessments
  • Failure to participate in scheduled assessments or submission of incomplete work will result in non-issuance of the certification
  • Students who do not achieve a passing grade in their first attempt may be offered one re-assessment opportunity within the same batch, subject to faculty availability

4.3 Certification

  • Certification is awarded upon successful completion of all program requirements including minimum attendance, assessments, and full adherence to the Code of Conduct
  • Full payment of the program fee does not automatically guarantee issuance of a certificate — certification must be earned through dedicated participation and achievement
  • Yoga Alliance registration following program completion is subject to Yoga Alliance's own independent eligibility requirements, which are entirely outside Bali Yoga Retreats' control

5. Total Program Fee Structure — Complete Breakdown

IMPORTANT: The total published fee for all Bali Yoga Retreats programs comprises two distinct and independent components. Together these constitute 100% of the total program fee. Please read this section in full before making any payment.

Component Amount Payable To When GST Treatment
Enrollment Consultation Fee 20% of Total Program Fee Proponent Technologies Pvt. Ltd. Before departure from home country — online payment Indian students: 18% GST additionally. International students: Zero-rated export of service (IGST Act, 2017)
Course Fee Balance 80% of Total Program Fee Bali Yoga Retreats On arrival in Bali — within 2 days of arrival As per applicable Indian tax law on educational services
Total Program Fee 100%

5.1 Enrollment Consultation & Facilitation Fee (20%)

This component is collected independently by Proponent Technologies Pvt. Ltd., our authorised enrollment consultation partner, in its own capacity. This fee is charged in consideration of the full suite of pre-enrollment consultation services delivered directly to the student, including:

  • A personalised needs assessment to understand your yoga background, goals, and experience level
  • Matching you with the most appropriate program from BYR's full range of YTTC and retreat offerings
  • Pre-arrival orientation covering campus life, daily schedules, packing guidance, and Bali travel information
  • Facilitating smooth communication between you and the Bali Yoga Retreats administration
  • Issuing your formal enrollment confirmation documentation
  • Providing ongoing pre-arrival support until the commencement of your program

This fee is payable before your departure from your home country and is non-refundable, as the consultation service is considered fully delivered upon issuance of your enrollment confirmation. Proponent Technologies Pvt. Ltd. issues its own independent invoice for this component.

5.2 GST Treatment on the Enrollment Consultation Fee

For Indian Students: The enrollment consultation fee is subject to Goods and Services Tax (GST) at 18% under SAC Code 998313. GST is charged in addition to the consultation fee and is shown as a separate line item on the GST-compliant invoice issued by Proponent Technologies Pvt. Ltd. Indian students who are registered GST entities may be eligible to claim Input Tax Credit (ITC) on this component, subject to applicable conditions.

For International Students: The enrollment consultation fee qualifies as an export of service under Section 2(6) of the IGST Act, 2017, provided all relevant conditions are met — including payment in convertible foreign exchange via proper banking channels. As a zero-rated supply, no GST is applicable for international students. Payment must be made by international bank transfer in USD, EUR, or other convertible currency for the zero-rating treatment to apply.

5.3 Course Fee Balance (80%)

The course fee balance is payable directly to Bali Yoga Retreats on your arrival at the school in Ubud and must be settled in full within two (2) calendar days of arrival. Failure to complete payment within this window may result in cancellation of your enrollment at BYR's discretion. This component covers all tuition, accommodation, daily vegetarian meals, course materials, yoga props, and program certification as specified for your selected course.

5.4 Accepted Payment Methods

  • Cash: USD (US Dollars), EUR (Euros), IDR (Indonesian Rupiah), INR (Indian Rupees)
  • Credit/Debit Card: A 5% bank transaction surcharge is applied and is payable by the student
  • Bank Transfer / Wire Transfer: Please contact BYR administration for banking details. Any international transfer charges are borne by the student

5.5 Independence of Each Entity

Proponent Technologies Pvt. Ltd. and Bali Yoga Retreats are independent legal entities, each solely responsible for their respective fee collections, invoicing, and tax compliance. Queries or disputes concerning the Enrollment Consultation Fee must be directed to Proponent Technologies Pvt. Ltd. Queries or disputes concerning the Course Fee Balance must be addressed to Bali Yoga Retreats directly.
