500-Hour YTT · Kshatriyayoga Lineage · 15+ years
He began at eleven with thathuva dhyanam, then trained in Dravidian martial arts and Kshatriyayoga, bringing strength, control and discipline to class.
Shakti Ji started down this path at eleven years old, learning thathuva dhyanam alongside yoga. Over time he trained in different styles of Yogasana, traditional Dravidian martial arts, and eventually Kshatriyayoga, a strict, lesser-known system passed down through specific lineages in South India.
He teaches with noticeable patience and rarely rushes through material. His martial arts background brings a different energy into his classes than typical relaxed yoga sessions, with more focus on strength, control, and discipline. Students say his classes help them understand the real reason behind each technique, not just the steps. He’s completed 500 hours of Yoga Teacher Training and is currently working on a Bachelor’s in Naturopathy and Yogic Science.
