Course overview

The popularity of prenatal yoga is growing dramatically as new mums are looking at alternative ways to stay fit during pregnancy, which is great. Health professionals have also recognized that prenatal yoga is great; it can offer a big support in developing the fitness plans of a pregnant mother.

As such, it is not surprising that doctors may recommend prenatal yoga as a way of enhancing the lifestyle for a pregnant mother. During pregnancy, prenatal yoga stretches your muscles as well as the tissues within. The stretching can have a stimulating effect on your organs, forcing oxygen and blood to better circulate within your body. In the prenatal yoga course, you will learn to breathe in a relaxing and natural way. You will also learn to move your body in harmony with your breathing.

When looking beyond the relaxation of mind and soul, it is our professionals who can offer actual wellness benefits. Prepare your mind and soul to adopt with the change that your body would go through after pregnancy. For better handling of your child and keeping your body adjusted with the changes, the prenatal yoga can help you prepare well. Before opting for yoga classes, it is better to go by the recommendation of your doctors. Moreover, you may learn to manage the pain you feel during labor. Overall, prenatal yoga can heighten your physical and emotional well-being. It can also reduce all the anxiety related to your pregnancy. In prenatal yoga course, we teach you the art of yoga in the safest way so that this will help you to go through pregnancy as happy and healthy as possible.

RPYT specialty

Why This Prenatal Specialty Program

This program leads toward the Yoga Alliance RPYT (Registered Prenatal Yoga Teacher) specialty credential — a real, recognized designation, not a generic wellness course. The Daily Schedule follows Yoga Alliance-USA scheduling requirements, and unlike the general 200-hour syllabus, every session here is prenatal-specific: prenatal asana, prenatal pranayama, prenatal anatomy and therapy. The curriculum goes well beyond a typical add-on workshop — trimester-specific sequencing, birth preparation, postnatal recovery, and the traditional 16 Samskara rites around childbirth are all covered in real depth (see the full syllabus below).

For yoga teachers

Who This Course Is For

This is a professional specialty training for yoga teachers, not a personal wellness class for pregnant students. You'll come away able to teach prenatal and postnatal yoga to others — you do not need to be pregnant yourself to take this course. You do need a valid 200-Hour Yoga TTC certification (Yoga Alliance registered, or from Bali Yoga Retreats or a sister school) to join.

If you're currently pregnant and interested in prenatal yoga for yourself rather than as a teaching qualification, this specific course isn't the right fit.

Travel

Getting to Bali

01

Nearest airport

Ngurah Rai International Airport (DPS) in Denpasar is Bali's main international gateway and the nearest airport to Ubud.

02

Visa

Visa requirements depend on your nationality and length of stay. Many visitors from the USA, Canada, Europe and Australia are eligible for a visa-on-arrival or e-visa for short stays, but rules change and vary by passport. Please confirm your requirements directly with https://evisa.imigrasi.go.id before booking flights.

03

Flights from the USA, Canada, Europe and Australia

There are no direct flights to Bali from North America or Europe, so most journeys connect through a hub such as Singapore, Doha, Hong Kong or Tokyo. As a general guide: expect around 20–24 hours of total travel time from the US West Coast, 24–30 hours from the US East Coast or Canada, and 16–19 hours from major European hubs such as London. Australia is more direct — flights from Perth take around 4 hours, and from Sydney or Melbourne around 6–6.5 hours. Given this is a short, 6-day trip, it's worth planning flight days on either side rather than arriving right at check-in.

FAQs

Frequently Asked Questions

Have Questions? We've Got You Covered! Visit our FAQs or contact us.

Is this course for pregnant students, or for teachers?

For teachers. This is a professional specialty training for yoga teachers who want to add pregnancy, birth and postnatal teaching to their practice — you don't need to be pregnant yourself to take it. You do need a valid 200-Hour Yoga TTC certification to join. See "Who This Course Is For" above.

What is Prenatal Yoga?

Prenatal Yoga is a gentle form of yoga for expectant mothers, focusing on breathing, flexibility, and relaxation to support pregnancy and prepare for childbirth.

Do I need a 200-hour certification to join?

Yes — a valid 200-Hour Yoga TTC certification is required, either Yoga Alliance registered or issued by Bali Yoga Retreats or a sister school.

What is RPYT certification?

RPYT stands for Registered Prenatal Yoga Teacher, a Yoga Alliance specialty credential for teachers who've completed prenatal-specific training on top of an existing RYT.

Is the Prenatal Yoga TTC Yoga Alliance certified?

This course is designed around the Yoga Alliance RPYT (Registered Prenatal Yoga Teacher) specialty pathway.

How many hours is this program?

The Prenatal Yoga TTC is 85 hours.

What topics are covered in the Prenatal Yoga Teacher Training course?

Anatomy and the stages of pregnancy; safe prenatal yoga poses; breathing and relaxation techniques; meditation and stress relief; teaching methods and class sequencing; postnatal recovery practices.

Is it safe to do yoga teacher training while pregnant?

This specific course is designed for teachers, not as a personal practice class for pregnant students, so it isn't built around that use case. If you're pregnant and looking for a personal prenatal yoga practice rather than a teaching qualification, this specific course isn't the right fit.

Do I need a visa for yoga teacher training in Bali?

Most visitors from the USA, Canada, Europe and Australia can enter Indonesia on a visa-on-arrival or e-visa for short stays, but requirements depend on your nationality and change from time to time — please confirm directly with https://evisa.imigrasi.go.id before booking flights.

How do I contact you across time zones?

Bali is on GMT+8 (WITA). We reply within 24 hours for WhatsApp, email and form enquiries — WhatsApp is the fastest option.
